At Lighthouse, we believe that serving God and others is the third vital step towards moving closer to God’s desires for us. We serve God through three avenues: Time, Talent (natural and spiritual gifts) and Tithe (Malachi 3:8-11). We’ve listed a personal assessment below to help you find your fit in our church body. Take a few minutes to determine where you might enjoy serving, then let us know. We offer “test-drives” in many of these ministries so you can determine your fit.
For the Social Personality
Are you a social butterfly? Do you find your batteries recharged by spending time with people? Do you easily initiate conversation with strangers? Do you enjoy helping people? Are you compassionate and willing to assist with the needs of our community?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, the Social Team and/or the Refuge Team might be a good fit.
For the Kid at heart
Do you enjoy working with those younger than yourself? Are you social and confidant? Do you like to have fun, play games, etc? Do you relate well to youth and/or kids & babies? Are you a kid at heart? Are you gifted in teaching or willing to work as an assistant? Are you creative; i.e. crafts, teaching, arts, etc.?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, you may fit well on Treasure Island Team or the Spotlight Team.
For the Quiet Personality
Do you enjoy a clean environment? Are you a task-oriented person? Do you have skills in cleaning, electrical, gardening, plumbing, etc.? Do you enjoy working with your hands? Are you most comfortable behind the scenes?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, you may find your fit on one of our Facilities Teams.
Do you enjoy potlucks, BBQ’s and social events? Are you more of an introvert? Do you enjoy working behind the scenes? Are you compassionate and willing to assist with the needs of our community? Do you enjoy helping those in need?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, your fit may be on our Hospitality Team or our Refuge Team.
For the Artistic Personality
Are you good with computers? Are you technologically savvy? Do you enjoy computers and audio/visual media? Are you musically inclined? Are you a musician at heart? Do you play any instruments or sing? Do you find yourself worshipping the Lord often?
If you answered yes to these questions, you may find your fit on our Worship Team and/or our Media Team.
