We had our first quarter Life Group Celebration this past Wednesday night.  It was such a blessing to hear so many share their testimonies of God’s goodness to speak through His living Word during this past season of Life Groups. 

As many of you know, we have a specific format we take in Life Groups.  It’s simply SOAP. 

Scripture:   prayerfully choose one verse to write in your journal. 

Observation:  Take a few moments to write an observation about that verse itself and within its context. 

Application:  Write down how you will apply this scripture to your life, in light of your observations. 

Prayer:  Write a prayer asking the Lord to help you apply this scripture to your life.

Over this first quarter of 2009, I have seen specific themes in my SOAP’s as I’ve looked through the various titles I’ve given them. Two of the most common titles are Parameters for Promise and Power of a Testimony. But I found it very interesting to see the other themes God has been showing me when I input all of my titles for the quarter into a website that creates Word Clouds: wordle.net
